Stephanie - Nursery Manager
​Stephanie began working at Red Balwn Coch in 2008, Stephanie began working as a nursery nurse within the fluent Welsh unit and, over the years, progressed to become a senior nursery nurse, Operations manager and now Nursery Manager who is responsible for the running of the Nursery. Stephanie also manages our Social Media and focuses on building partnerships with external professionals.
Stephanie is fluent in Welsh and holds an ILM4 in management and leadership as well as a Level 5 (manager) qualification in children’s care, learning and development. Stephanie also qualified as a Senior Playworker Level 3.
Additional training/qualifications: Safer recruitment, RIDDOR, Advanced Child Protection QCF Level 3, Language & Play OCN, Conflict Management, Equality and Diversity, Fire Warden, Health and Safety, Promoting positive behaviour and First Aid at Work.
Chloe - Operations Manager
Chloe began as a student at Red Balwn Coch and was then employed as a nursery nurse within our fluent Welsh toddler room back in 2012. Chloe then progressed to a senior nursery nurse and is now the operations manager of the nursery. Chloe has a Level 3 in child care and education as well as an ILM2 in management and leadership. Chloe also qualified as a Senior Playworker Level 3 in March 2016.
Additional training/qualifications: Fire warden, Conflict Management, Health and safety, Working with babies.

Rhona Dyer - ALNCo Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator
Our Responsible Individual is Mrs. Rhona Dyer. Rhona is a qualified, experienced educational psychologist and teacher. In addition to ensuring that all aspects of our setting are based on current evidence around the practice, Rhona's particular area of expertise with special needs ensures that the individual needs of all children are fully accommodated.
For those children with additional needs, Rhona is leading the introduction across the setting of new policies and procedures in line with the ALN Act 2018. We have always worked closely with local authorities, external professionals, and parents to ensure that individual children's needs are met. A noted strength within the setting is the extent to which we ascertain and implement the views of even our youngest children in our work. This practice will continue.
Staff Qualifications
Our nursery nurses either have attained a Level 3 child care qualification before taking up their post or are required and supported to progress towards this. All staff receive a detailed induction programme and ongoing professional development thereafter. Staff receive both 'in-house' and external training in a number of areas, with all of the childcare team undertaking compulsory training in child protection, first aid, highest-grade food hygiene and health and safety. All staff receive regular supervision and appraisals and are encouraged to develop particular areas of interest and expertise.
